Sydney and other parts of NSW will swelter in summer weather on Thursday, with much of the state under a total fire ban.

This is Jon Stewart in standard definition. And after the jump, Jon in high definition. Note that a lot of the inventory that they run each day will for a long time not be in HD. Stewart and Colbert will first be converted to HD (which I think means they will retain their current aspect ratio) at first, and I'd bet will come with new HD studio sets later and then shot in HD like the Weather Channel did last year.
